Role Overview

Set Therapeutics is seeking a Research Associate or Senior Research Associate of Immune Biology to support a novel drug discovery platform focused on oncology therapeutics. You will work closely with senior scientific staff and founder in executing hands-on lab work and contributing to key technical milestones as the platform grows.

Responsibilities

• Support cell line selection and maintain routine cell culture

• Assist in developing and executing methods for transient protein expression in mammalian and cancer cell lines

• Isolate and culture immune cells from human blood following established protocols

• Assess immune cell activation state using surface markers and gene expression

• Use flow cytometry to isolate reactive immune cells from complex cultures

• Support high-throughput sequencing experiments to characterize gene expression and immune receptor identity

• Run immune assays to evaluate potential therapeutic modalities

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with immune cell culture (T cells required; B cells a plus)

• Experience with immortalized cell culture

• Familiarity with flow cytometry including labeling and data analysis

• Experience executing immune cell activation assays

• Experience with single-cell mRNA sequencing a plus

• Experience expressing and purifying IgG antibodies from supernatant a plus

• Comfortable working in a small-biotech environment

• Clear communicator, comfortable asking questions and ensuring precision

• Eager to learn and grow technical skills within a fast-paced, hands-on research setting

Experience

• B.S. with 2–4 years of relevant laboratory experience, or

• M.S. with 0–2 years of relevant laboratory experience

Compensation

Compensation includes a competitive salary commensurate with experience, plus equity in Set Therapeutics.
